How Browser-Based PDF Merging Keeps Your Documents Safe
PDF files are structured binary hierarchies consisting of catalog indices, page nodes, and cross-reference tables (xref). Traditional online portals merge files by uploading them to cloud storage and rebuilding the tables on remote servers. This introduces leak hazards and slow download queues. Our tool uses pdf-lib to load and parse the PDF structure directly into WebAssembly buffers inside your browser. We duplicate page arrays, merge shared resources, and recompile standard page structures locally on your device in milliseconds.
